Greetings! My background is in archiving pop culture. I founded the All-Media Guide and proceeded to catalog and review almost all recorded music (AllMusic.com) all films (AllMovie.com), video games (AllGame.com), rock n’ roll posters (Classic Posters), and a bunch of other stuff. I also founded the second-oldest software company on the Internet, Matrix Software, in 1977, the only older company being Microsoft. It remains in operation today. And so on.

Although still working a full-time job, my passion is macro photography and fine lenses. I have learned so much from the community of photographers, a few of which this site is dedicated to, that I would like to give back something. Since I am (so my wife tells me) obsessive when it comes to organizing information, I thought it would be fun to have a site for macro enthusiasts like myself, a place where beginners can read and learn, while more experienced photographers can discuss.

This site consists of a number of invited photographers who discuss macro photography and other topics in this forum. If you have experience in this area and want an invitation, just send me an email pointing out the kind of interests you have and what topics you might like to comment.

Thanks,

Michael Erlewine (Michael@erlewine.net)
